I'm pretty sure we've all been here before- your life has been super busy lately and you just haven't had time to stalk social media to see what the next book buzz is or even read a series you have been meaning to read since forever. It's annoying, but doesn't seem too awful- because you know you're going to be able to make up everything again- that is until it happens. You finally make room to sneak in a booktube episode or are in a conversation with a friend when they start raving about this amazing book that you haven't read yet- maybe you haven't even heard of this book yet. And you are just like:
Do not fear! I promise everyone has been in this situation and you can make it through this. It's completely understandable for reality to sometimes get in the way of reading. The important part is that you get back to it as soon as possible! Check that book out from the library, keep it somewhere where you will always see it until you finally decide it's time to just read it. If it's a really good book like everyone has been saying then it will probably keep you up reading it all night, forcing you to make time for it! Everyone knows that sleep is sometimes something that you just have to sacrifice for amazing books- and in the long run it is totally worth it because you are no longer the one person who hasn't read that book yet. Do whatever is necessary to make sure that you read that book or else it's never going to get done and you are going to be one of those people who has had the same books on their TBR list for years. There is nothing to be ashamed of if you haven't gotten to a book or book series yet as long as you keep Sheila's advice in mind and "just do it"! And if you are tired of hearing everyone talk about this book that you haven't read yet, don't feel bad about bringing up another book!
